Arizona State Open Chili: Held each March, in a traditional chili cook-off style, this event celebrates Casa Grande’s unique hometown charm, southwestern Arizona zest for fun and incredible winter weather. The event’s relaxed southwestern flavor highlights the area’s renowned friendly community spirit.
Catfish Rodeo: This event held annually in March and co-sponsored by the Optimist Club of Casa Grande takes place at Dave White Park. Fishing is open to youth ages 15 and under with prizes for seven different categories.
Cactus Fly-In: With emphasis placed on the aircraft of yesteryear, the Cactus Fly-In is certainly in a class of its own. Each March, Antiques, Classics, Warbirds, Replicas, and Homebuilt aircraft are on display throughout the event. The Cactus Fly-In enjoys the mild and temperate climate that can only be found in the springtime in beautiful southern Arizona. Warm days and cool evenings make the perfect environment to reminisce and get reacquainted with old friends in the fun, easy-going environment of the Cactus Fly-In!
Independence Day Fireworks and Family Fun Day: Each year in July the residents of Casa Grande enjoy a day of swimming, games, food and fun at the city’s family fun day. The evening is then filled with a extravagant fireworks display.
Copperstate Fly-In and Aviation Expo: Hundreds of home built and experimental aircraft, ultralights, warboards, helicopters and more fly in to Casa Grande every October! A guaranteed four days of fun, events include aerial demonstrations, helicopter rides, educational forums, workshops, kids’ activities and more!
Electric Light Parade: The largest event in Casa Grande with an estimated 35,000 spectators, the Electric Light Parade is held at the beginning of December to kick off the holiday season. Over 100 floats decorated with lights and participate in this great city event.
