Wastewater Cash Flow Projections & Proposed Pretreatment Fee Justification Now Available
According to A.R.S. 9-511.01, any municipality seeking to increase wastewater rates or rate components must supply data supporting the increased rate as well as cash flow projections listing all anticipated revenues from residential and non-residential customers and overall wastewater expenses at least thirty days prior to the city’s scheduled public hearing on the proposed rate increase. Such a summary has been prepared and is available here, (see Attachment A), as City staff is recommending the adoption of new pretreatment fees for non-residential wastewater users. Please refer to the “2017-2018 Proposed Consolidated Fee Schedule” for a listing of the new pretreatment fees on page 15 and 16.
A public hearing regarding the entire FY2017-2018 Consolidated Fee Schedule will be held during the Regular Council meeting on August 7, 2017 at 7:00 pm. Following the public hearing, the Council will consider the adoption of the FY2017-2018 Consolidated Fee Schedule.
