The Dorothy Powell Senior Adult Center will starting serving our Friday morning breakfast, beginning September 11 from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. Breakfast will be served each 2nd & 4th Friday of the month.

Our menu for September will include Biscuits & Gravy, Scrambled Eggs, Fried Potatoes, Bacon or Sausage, Juice, Coffee or Tea.  The cost is $3.50 or $4.00 for to-go orders.

All proceeds will once again assist our Transportation program.
Luminaries for Sale Luminaries for Sale

Once again, the City of Casa Grande Community Services Department will help light up the community this holiday season by making luminary kits available. The kits include one dozen votive candles and one dozen white paper sacks. This popular southwest tradition creates a warm and lovely effect along sidewalks and pathways. The kits can be purchased at the Parks and Recreation Department beginning Monday, November 30, 2009 during regular business hours.  Regular business hours are: Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The office is located at 404 E. Florence Blvd. The fee is $3.00 per kit. Get your kits early! First come, first serve.  For more information please call 421-8677.


Transportation Services Available Transportation Services Available

The Dorothy Powell Senior Adult Center provides area residents rides to and from the senior center, to and from doctor’s appointments and other errands for individuals ages 60 and older. Transportation services are available Monday – Friday. If you are in need of transportation please call the Dorothy Powell Senior Adult Center at least one day in advance and services will be available on a first-come; first-serve basis. Donations are accepted. The Transportation program is a collaborative effort funded by Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens – Area Agency on Aging and the City of Casa Grande Community Services Department.
