Public Notice ADDENDUM TO: REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP): FACILITY ENERGY IMPROVEMENTS

This notice is to extend the closing date of the above referenced RFP, “Facility Energy Improvements”, from August 31, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. to September 7, 2010 at 1:30 p.m.
CITY OF CASA GRANDE, ARIZONA REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL The City of Casa Grande will receive requests for proposals for the following: FACILITY ENERGY IMPROVEMENTS Proposals are due by Tuesday, August 31st at 1:30 p.m. to the City Clerk’s Office at 510 E Florence Blvd, Casa Grande AZ 85122. All proposals must be clearly marked “FACILITY ENERGY IMPROVEMENTS”. Provide one original and five copies. It is the responsibility of the Proposer to submit the response, in the proper format, by the above deadline. Proposals received after the deadline of August 31st at 1:30 p.m. will not be considered. No responsibility will attach to the City of Casa Grande, its employees or agents for premature opening of a proposal that is not properly addressed and identified. A Pre-proposal conference will be held at 3181 N. Lear Ave. in Casa Grande on August 12, 2010 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A tour of the facilities will be conducted, and bidders will have an opportunity to view existing facilities, site conditions, and ask questions of the Architect and City officials. It is strongly recommended that bidders and key subcontractors attend this pre-proposal meeting. The City may choose to interview some or all of the Proposers. If necessary, these interviews are expected to be on September 21, 2010 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Casa Grande North Operations Center at 3181 N. Lear Ave. Casa Grande, AZ 85122. It is the responsibility of each Proposer to examine the entire request, seek clarifications in writing and check the Proposal for accuracy before submitting the Proposal. Lack of care in preparing the Proposal shall not be grounds for withdrawing the Proposal after the deadline nor shall it give rise to any contract claim. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in this Request for Proposal, or to reject any or all responses; to be the sole judge of the suitability of the materials offered and to award a contract for the services deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
