The Pinal County Material Recovery Center accepts waste tires from all Pinal County residents, including City of Casa Grande residents. Unwanted vehicle passenger tires can be dropped off for recycling at this state approved waste tire recovery site. There is no charge for up to five tires per person per year. Additional tires are charged a fee of $1.00 per tire. There is a $5.00 charge for each tire with a rim.

The Material Recovery Center is one of Arizona’s approved and funded waste tire collection sites. Waste tires are prohibited by state law from being disposed in landfills, and are not accepted at the Casa Grande landfill. Tires collected at the recovery center are processed into crumb rubber for use in roadways and rubber based materials.

The City landfill is now accepting Visa and MasterCard as a form of payment for landfill disposal. Credit Card payment is now available.
Customers will not be able to pay trash and sewer bills at the landfill. These payments will be accepted by mail, or in person at the Finance office located on Florence Blvd.


You can now request services from Public Works using an online form. Request pickup of uncontained trash, branches/limbs, containers, rolloffs and special pickups. Report sewer problems, potholes, problems with street signs and traffic signals. Report traffic vision blocked and alley problems. Request service start sewer, trash and recycling. Landfill Guidelines

In order for us to continue to provide quality customer service, we are asking our customers for help, here is a list of helpful guidelines you can follow to ensure quality service.

 

Landfill:

1. Citizens living within the City limits can use the City landfill free of charge to dump uncontained trash or large miscellaneous items. Please take a current driver's license to verify your status as a paying trash service customer, a current utility bill that will be used to verify or a rental agreement that states your trash service is part of your rent.
2. Follow all instruction on items we do not take in the landfill.
3. Operators are there to help you, please follow their instruction.


Landfill Does Not Accept:

Tires: The landfill does not accept tires. Call (520) 866-6683 for Pinal County Waste Tire Collection.

Appliances: The City does not pick up refrigerators or appliances with Freon. Residents can take appliances to the landfill. There is a $15.00 charge (to recover the cost of Freon removal).

Used Motor Oil or Antifreeze: The City does not dispose of or recycle motor oil or antifreeze. Checker Auto, Auto Zone, and Pep Boys will accept used motor oil from residents for recycling.

Hazardous Waste: The City does not have a hazardous waste program. Call ADEQ at 1-800-234-5677 for hazardous material information.

Diabetic Lancettes/Sharps: The landfill does not accept Diabetic Lancettes/Sharps. Call (520) 316-9207 Healthcare Medical Waste for disposal.


Landfill Does Accept:

Batteries, latex water base paint, fluorescent light bulbs, and electronic equipment: The landfill will accept these separated materials for recycling - Residential only.
