Overview

The City of Casa Grande is the land of opportunity for new businesses. Strategically located between the Phoenix and Tucson metropolitan areas along Interstate 10 and Interstate 8. The community is also connected by the main line of the Union Pacific Railroad and is within one hour of Phoenix Sky Harbor and Tucson International airports. No other community in Arizona enjoys such connectivity.

Economic Development Division promotes the city as the ideal location for industrial, healthcare, and aviation development.

The Economic Development Division can assist companies with identifying available sites that can meet your company needs. In addition, the Economic Development staff will work closely with Arizona@Work Pinal County and Central Arizona College staff to help address your pre and post-employment needs as well as assist you in your recruitment efforts.

Abbott Nutrition, Frito Lay, Wal-Mart Distributions, and Monsanto Cotton Research Center are just a few industrial employers currently providing for the Casa Grande workforce. With the addition of 30,000 new jobs introduced into Casa Grande by Lucid Motors, Attesa Motorsports, Dreamport Villages, and PhoenixMart over the next decade, Casa Grande is transforming into a strong industrial hub in central Arizona.

Health Care Industry

Casa Grande has a year-round population of over 53,000, but during the late Fall, Winter, and early Spring the city's population can grow to upwards of 70,000 with the return of the winter residents and visitors. 30% of the year-round residents and most of the winter residents / visitors are 55 and over. This large senior population with their healthcare needs has led to a robust healthcare cluster which includes 114 Medical/Healthcare Facilities that represent over 25 specialties.

Manufacturing Industry

Casa Grande's location, infrastructure, and access to a highly skilled workforce are some of the major reasons why companies such as Abbott Nutrition, Frito-Lay, Hexcel, ACO Polymer, Daisy Brand, and most recently Lucid Motors and Attesa have chosen to locate/build here. Over the past 10 years the city and its utility partners have made significant investments in the infrastructure including increasing the wastewater treatment facility to 12 MGD; installing new sewer, water, and natural gas lines; and building a new 120 mW substation (to be completed in 2018) that will to serve the City's industrial corridor.

The Industrial Development Authority of the City of Casa Grande (the "Authority") is a non-profit Arizona corporation established to encourage industry and job growth in Casa Grande.

Logistics Industry

Casa Grande sits at the junction/confluence of Interstate 10 and Interstate 8, is served by the Union Pacific Railroad's main line, and is within one hour of the Phoenix Sky Harbor and Tucson International Airports. This connectivity provides easy access to the Southern California, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, and Mexico markets, and to the ports of San Diego and Long Beach, all of which are within an eight-hour drive. In addition, while the final route of the proposed Interstate 11 hasn't been chosen, it will ultimately be located either in or close to the city increasing the number of markets accessible within an eight-hour drive.
