FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Road Reconstruction And Maintenance Projects Scheduled For Ash Avenue, Peters Road, And Selma Highway.
Casa Grande, AZ (September 29, 2023) – Beginning on October 9th and continuing through November 2023, contractors for the City of Casa Grande will begin reconstruction and maintenance projects on the following roadways:
West Peters Road between Chui-Chu Road and Thornton Road. This project will consist of complete reconstruction of the existing roadway and take place in two phases.
- PHASE I: 10/09/2023 through approximately 10/20/2023, is comprised of the east portion of Peters Road.
- PHASE II: 11/06/2023 through approximately 11/14/2023, is comprised of the west portion of Peters Road.
Peters Road will be closed to all traffic during the phased work. Walmart Distribution Center employees will be able to access the employee parking by following the detours. Maps are provided as attachments.
Selma Highway between Chui-Chu Road and Thornton Road. This project will consist of complete reconstruction of the existing roadway starting on 10/30/2023 through approximately 11/08/2023.
Ash Avenue from Florence Street to Schultz Street. This project will consist of asphalt patching and crack sealing beginning 11/03/2023. The roadway will remain open to the public with minor lane restrictions.
Motorists are asked to drive cautiously through the detours as crews and heavy equipment will be working in the roadway. Your patience and cooperation are appreciated throughout the project.
