Beginning Sunday, April 23rd and lasting approximately one month, contractors for the City of Casa Grande will begin mill and overlay operations on Florence Boulevard from Pinal Avenue to the I-10 freeway as part of the Pavement Preservation Improvements Project. The work is scheduled overnight from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays.
Florence Boulevard will remain open to the public during overnight work with only minor lane restrictions in place during construction. Driveway access to businesses will remain open throughout the project and motorists will be able to drive over the newly paved surface within minutes of being paved. Crews will return in June to install permanent pavement markings.
A section of treatment on the North side of Florence Boulevard between Henness Road and Arizola Road will be delayed until the Fall to accommodate a planned Arizona Water Company replacement project. Contractors will return to complete the asphalt work once the waterline replacement project has ended.
Motorists are asked to drive cautiously through the construction as crews will be working in the roadway. Your patience and cooperation are appreciated throughout this process.
