FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: NATIONAL POLICE WEEK TRIBUTE TO INCLUDE INDUCTION OF FALLEN CASA GRANDE OFFICER.

National Police Week is May 14th – May 20th and pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.

The Casa Grande Police Department has lost two Police Officers designated as Line of Duty Deaths. Sgt. Tate Allan Lynch, End of Watch October 25, 2007, and Officer Jesus De La Luz Lara III, End of Watch January 4, 2022.

Officer Lara’s name is one of 556 being added to the National Peace Officers Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. this year. His name will appear on Panel 3 E, Line 34.

“A delegation of agency employees will attend the memorial in Washington D.C. to honor Officer Lara and Sgt. Lynch. We are honored and humbled to represent the Casa Grande community at such an important event,” said Chief Mark McCrory.

City Hall will be lit up blue to honor, remember, and pay respect to those who gave their lives in the line of duty.
