FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Pinal Avenue and Cottonwood Lane Intersection Roadway Construction Scheduled (08/11).
Casa Grande, AZ (August 10, 2023) – Beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, August 11th and lasting until approximately 5 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15th Cottonwood Lane will be closed to through traffic in both the eastbound and westbound directions from Pinal Avenue to Thornton Road. Lane reductions will also be in place on portions of Pinal Avenue for a waterline installation and pavement repair project. The Arizona Water Company is replacing an existing waterline and installing a fire hydrant at the intersection.
Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) owns and maintains Pinal Avenue and will provide oversight and inspection on the project. Message boards have been deployed in several locations leading up to the project area to alert the public of the impending closures. Motorists are asked to plan an alternate route ahead of time and follow the detours or expect delays.
Residents who may experience a water outage within the one-block radius of the project will be contacted by the Arizona Water Company directly. If you experience an outage during the closure and have not been contacted, please call (520)836-8785.
Motorists are asked to drive cautiously through the detours as traffic control devices will be in place and crews will be working in the roadway. Your patience and cooperation are appreciated throughout the operations.
