This course is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings using medical equipment & medical terminology. These classes are geared to the medical professional such as CNA’s, EMT’s, CEP’s, RN’s, MD’s, as well as students pursuing a career in the medical health field. You must pass the written exam with no less than 84% to receive your certification card.
The BLS Healthcare Provider Class will be offer only as a hybrid class (half on-line and half in person.) The student will take the on-line portion of the class with the American Heart Association. Once that portion is completed, they can register with CGFD or any other AHA instructor site to do the second part of the BLS class which is the Skills Test. This part of the class will be offered once a week on Wednesdays starting time 3:00pm however students will still need to call ahead of time to reserve a spot in that class.

The American Heart Association does not receive any of the money from the First Aid, CPR classes taught by Casa Grande Fire Department. All proceeds go to Casa Grande Fire Department EMS Trust Fund account. The EMS Trust Fund account is used for purchasing supplies used for the CPR classes, station tours, and fire & life safety classes. Classes may be cancelled due to uncontrollable circumstances you will be notified.
