Carr McNatt Park Construction

Project Overview

On November 5, 2018, the City Council and Mayor Craig McFarland approved $8.1 million for improvements to Carr McNatt Park. The improvements include:

  • Replacing the football field with three multi-purpose sports fields, a walking track, and tennis courts
  • A shaded playground
  • A spray park
  • New lawn areas
  • A basketball court
  • Bathrooms
  • Improved lighting
  • Connected sidewalks
  • New parking lots
  • Utility Improvements

Construction is scheduled to begin on January 7, 2019, and last until the fall of 2019. Because of safety issues, most of Carr McNatt Park will be closed during construction with the exception of the Kiwanis Baseball Field and the Palm Island Aquatic Park.
