City Reminds Public to Watch Tonight’s Council Meeting from Home, Ch 11
No Public Admittance Inside City Chamber
In observance of current CDC Guidelines and the Governor’s Executive Order, City Chamber will be closed to members of the public during the Regular Council Meeting tonight, 7pm. This effort is being undertaken to help reduce community spread of COVID-19.
Members of the public are encouraged to “Stay Home, Stay Healthy and Stay Connected” by viewing the meeting live on Cox Channel 11 or the Channel 11 Live Stream. For residents unable to access the internet, speakers will be broadcasting the meeting outside the front of Council Chambers. There will be no chairs provided. Any attending public outdoors will still be expected to adhere to social/physical distancing requirements of 6 feet.
Council members are set to tele/video-conference into the meeting to maintain room capacity of no more than 10 persons. This meeting will not include items that involve time set aside for public comments as there are no matters set for public hearings nor an agenda item for public comments.
The City continues to streamline useful information through COVID-19 City Response and Small Business Resources to help the community maneuver through current challenges. Residents are encouraged to follow City social media for more frequent information share (Facebook, Twitter, NextDoor and YouTube). These resources help provide links to business loans, job searches, mortgage and senior assistance, food banks, health and unemployment insurance and more.
Stay Home. Stay Healthy. Stay Connected!
