The City of Casa Grande will hold a Special Election on May 18, 2021, for voters to approve the 2030 General Plan. This election will be conducted as an all Mail Ballot Election. Every qualified elector of Casa Grande will receive a ballot by mail for this election. The General Plan 2030 WILL NOT INCREASE TAXES and is NOT a school bond issue or tax increase issue.

Political and Campaign Sign Placement

The purpose of the publicity pamphlet is to provide you with information about the new General Plan 2030, which will appear on the May 18, 2021, City of Casa Grande All-Mail Ballot Election. The General Plan 2030 WILL NOT INCREASE TAXES and is NOT a school bond issue or a tax increase issue. A Growing Horizon is the General Plan brand endorsed by the numerous public participants involved in the development of the plan.

Under Arizona Revised Statutes (ARS 9-461-5), the City of Casa Grande is required to update the General Plan once every ten years and to request voter approval of each update of the General Plan. This important planning document, created through extensive public participation, sets forth the vision, goals, and action steps that will shape the development of the City. In compliance with the Federal Voting Rights Act, this publicity pamphlet will be prepared in both English and Spanish.

The information within the pamphlet will describe the effects of a “yes” and “no” vote for the General Plan. The publicity pamphlet will be mailed to all qualified registered voters the third week of April and will be available for pick up at City Hall, and at each branch of the City Libraries.

Voter Registration

To register to vote, you must be:

  • A United States Citizen
  • Eighteen years of age or older on or before the election
  • Resident of the City 29 days prior to the election
  • Have not been convicted of a felony or treason, if so, your civil rights have been restored

If you are registering for the first time within Pinal County, you must also submit proof of citizenship with your voter registration form.

Voter registration deadline in order to vote in the Special Election, is by April 19, 2021.
