The Casa Grande Mayor and City Council are proud to partner with the First Things First Pinal Regional Partnership Council in proclaiming the week of April 16 through April 20 as “Week of the Young Child in Casa Grande.” This initiative, in conjunction with the National Association for the Education of Young Children, works to improve early learning opportunities that are critical for the growth and development of young children.
“These organizations are working to improve early learning opportunities, which are crucial to the growth and development of young children, and building a foundation of learning for everyone in Casa Grande,” said Mayor McFarland in his proclamation. “All young children and their families in the State of Arizona and Casa Grande desrve access to high-quality early childhood education.”
Mayor McFarland will present the proclamation at a community event on Tuesday, April 17 at Peart Park. The event, “Celebrating Our Youngest Learners”, will offer free services for families with children from birth to five, including dental and sensory screenings, crafts and activities, music, and fun! The event takes place at Peart Park, located at 350 E. 6th Street, and runs from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
