The City of Casa Grande is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for its 2018 Leadership Academy. Leadership Academy is an eight week program designed to educate citizens on how their local government works.
Offered by the City since 2003, this free training opportunity provides a behind the scenes look at what it takes to keep Casa Grande running. Each week, participants learn about a new facet of City operations through presentations and tours by department directors and elected officials.
The Leadership Academy will be held on Thursday evenings from January 25 through March 15, and is provided to 25 participants. All participants must be 18 years of age or older and reside in Casa Grande. The City of Casa Grande partners with the Arizona Public Service Company (APS) to sponsor this program, and program graduates frequently go on to engage with the local community by running for office or volunteering for city boards and commissions.
