Utility Box Art Project

The Program:

The Casa Grande Arts and Culture Commission directs the Utility Box Art Program. This program is designed to enhance the Casa Grande community by adding works of art to local streetscapes. Artwork on utility boxes functions as a form of communication to a moving audience with the goals of community beautification and creating a safe, inclusive, and interesting environment.

Call for Artists: 2026 Utility Box Art Project – Phase V

The City of Casa Grande Arts & Culture Commission is excited to invite local artists to participate in the 2026 Utility Box Art Project – Phase V. This vibrant public art initiative transforms everyday utility boxes into engaging works of art that celebrate creativity, discourage graffiti, and enhance our city’s streetscapes.

Selected artists will design and paint original artwork on City-owned and APS utility boxes throughout Casa Grande. These public installations help create a safe, inclusive, and visually inspiring environment for residents and visitors alike.

Participating artists will receive a $500 stipend ($250 at the start of the project and $250 upon completion). In addition, the community will vote for a People’s Choice Award, with the selected artist receiving $1,000.

Submission Deadline:
Monday, February 16, 2026
