The Historic Preservation Commission plays a vital role in safeguarding our heritage and ensuring the preservation of our City’s historical landmarks and cultural identity. We are currently seeking individuals who are passionate about history, architecture, and community engagement to fill a vacancy on this commission. It’s an excellent opportunity for community members who values our cultural heritage and wishes to make a meaningful impact on the future of our city.
Key responsibilities of commission members include determining Certificate of Appropriateness applications, provide recommendations to City Council on designating historic districts and local landmarks, the naming and/or renaming of City facilities, and works towards recognizing and preserving historic buildings and sites in Casa Grande. Members serve three-year terms. Meetings are held on the 4th Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
