Featured Programs & Events

  • All-Ages Reading Challenge (Month-Long)
    Use the Beanstack app to log reading progress.
    Kids (0–12): Complete 10 fun activities and get a prize (must pick up activity sheet).
    Teens & Adults: Read 5 books to earn a reading–themed pin.
    (Registration at either Casa Grande Main or Vista Grande library only.)

  • Library LEGO Checkout Challenge (Sept. 2–30)
    Celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month by contributing to library “towers” using LEGO sets.

  • Board Game Club
    For students in grades 6–12. Every Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at Casa Grande Main Library—new game each week.

  • Genealogy Workshop
    Monthly series begins Monday, October 6 (10:00–11:15 a.m.) at Vista Grande Library
    (October topic: Create a Family Story Cookbook — bring recipes to share).

  • First Chapter Fridays
    For ages 8–12: Explore new and classic books.
    Next session: October 3, 11:00–11:45 a.m. at Vista Grande Library.

  • Crochet & Knitting Club
    Fridays, 3:30–5:00 p.m., Vista Grande Library (ages 12+). Bring your supplies—some materials available.

  • Disney Pixar Movie Afternoon
    Saturday, October 4, 2:00 p.m.
    Children under 12 must be supervised; snacks (in screw-top containers) allowed.

  • Spanish Conversation Gathering
    Thursdays (through December 4), 12:30–1:00 p.m., Vista Grande Library
    No registration required.

  • English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes
    Tuesdays & Thursdays, 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m., Vista Grande Library
    All levels welcome, no registration needed.

  • The Literati Book Club
    For adults (18+).
    Next meeting: Monday, October 6, 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
    Book: All the Colors of the Dark by Chris Whitaker
    November pick: The Briar Club by Kate Quinn (meets November 3).

  • Gardening Series & Seed Library
    Monthly topics hosted by UA Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners:
    – Oct. 11: Composting
    – Nov. 8: Beyond Rows: Square Foot / Intercropping
    – Dec. 13: Tools, Tips & Favorite Products

  • Ongoing Reading Challenges
    – 25 in 25 Challenge (all ages)
    1,000 Books Before Kindergarten (ages 0–5)

  • Volunteer Opportunity: Mayor’s Reading Club
    Read to K–3 students for one hour/month.

  • Free Learning via Universal Class
    Access hundreds of online courses with your Casa Grande Library card via Universal Class.

  • Tutor Tech Time
    One-on-one tech help (e-books, social media, etc.) for adults.

  • High School Diploma Program (GED)

  • Study Rooms Available
    Reserve for up to 2 hours/day at either library (online, phone, or in-person).

  • Donations & Volunteers
    – Book & materials donations accepted at both libraries (call for large items).
    – Volunteers needed for adult education / ESL tutoring via ACE program.

  • Culture Pass Program
    Explore local cultural venues with the library’s “Culture Pass.” One pass per household, per week. Available at both library locations and the bookmobile.
