FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: GROUNDBREAKING SCHEDULED FOR CASA GRANDE FIRE STATION 503 (10/25).
The groundbreaking ceremony for Fire Station 503 has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 25th, at 9:30 a.m. at its future location at the northwest corner of Pinal Avenue and Rodeo Road. The new $12.7 million station gives Station 503 a permanent home after its original location closed in 2020. This state-of-the-art facility will provide a modern, efficient fire station to serve our growing city.
The 14,000-square-foot station will include a designated ambulance bay and four additional bays. The single-story building will house 10 firefighters, and includes a biohazard room, training room, a large kitchen and fitness area. The plan also has a secure parking area and public parking area.
The groundbreaking ceremony will feature the Presentation of Colors by the Casa Grande Fire Department Color Guard, and include speakers Mayor Craig MacFarland, Fire Chief Dave Kean, Fire Captain Melissa Phillips, and CORE Construction President, Todd Steffen. Representative Juan Ciscomani’s Office will present the city with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for their efforts in bringing the fire station project to fruition.
