FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: CASA GRANDE EXPANDS CG LINK TRANSIT SERVICE TO INCLUDE SATURDAYS.
CASA GRANDE, AZ – [October 25, 2024] – Starting Saturday, November 2, the CG LINK transit service will expand to include Saturday operations, further enhancing connectivity for Casa Grande residents. This expansion reflects the City of Casa Grande’s commitment to improving public transportation and integrating with the existing CART transit network. CG LINK marks a major step forward in the city's efforts to create a more accessible, inclusive, and convenient transportation system.
“The addition of Saturday service has always been part of our original plan,” said Deb Brunner, Transit Manager. “We’re thrilled with the community’s positive response to CG LINK and are excited to provide an extra day of service, giving residents more opportunities to get around and take care of their daily needs.”
Since launching in October 2023, CG LINK has successfully transported nearly 34,000 passengers, allowing residents to navigate the service area with ease and reliability.
Service Information:
- Operating Hours: Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- Saturday Service: Available starting November 2.
- Reservations: Passengers are encouraged to book trips 24 hours in advance by calling Dispatch at (520) 509-6900, visiting the CG LINK website, or using the CG LINK Rider App available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Accessibility: CG LINK vehicles are wheelchair accessible and equipped with bicycle racks.
The CG LINK service area covers the southern part of Casa Grande, with major stops at locations like the city libraries, downtown Casa Grande, the Dorothy Powell Senior Center, the City Recreation Center, Banner Medical Center, grocery stores, Walmart, and Promenade Mall.
