Featured Highlights:
- Month-Long Reading Challenge: Open to kids, teens, and adults!
- Kids ages 0-12 can pick up an activity sheet and complete 10 tasks for a prize.
- Teens and adults: read five books and log them on the Beanstack app for a reading-themed pin.
- Available at either the Main Library or Vista Grande Library (register at just one location).
- Trick-or-Treat Storytime (Oct 28 @ 10 a.m.) at the Main Library in Peart Park: Costumes encouraged! Story followed by StoryWalk trick-or-treating—bring your own treat bag.
- Kids’ Mask-Making Activity at Vista Grande Library (Oct 28 @ 3:30 p.m.): Templates provided, fun for younger guests.
- Beginning iPad/iPhone Technology Class (Oct 30 @ 2:30-4:30 p.m.): At the Main Library; no registration required—perfect for anyone needing tech help.
- Day of the Dead Event (Nov 1 @ 10-11 a.m.) at Vista Grande Library: Stories, snacks, and sugar-skull decorating for kids.
- Board Game Series for Grades 6-12: An 11-week program at the Main Library, Thursdays @ 4:00 p.m.—new game each week!
- Crochet & Knitting Club at Vista Grande Library: Fridays, 3:30-5:00 p.m., ages 12+, bring your supplies (some yarn provided).
- Spanish Conversation Gathering: Thursdays, noon-1:00 p.m., at Vista Grande Library. Practice your Spanish in a relaxed group.
- English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. at Vista Grande Library. All levels welcome; no registration required.
- Coming Soon — Genealogy Workshop (Nov 3, Vista Grande Library @10:00-11:15 a.m.) Topic: “Using Maps for Genealogy” to help you explore your family history.
- Monthly Gardening Presentations at Vista Grande Library by the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners:
- Nov 8: “Beyond Rows: Square Foot, Intercropping, Chaos Gardening”
- Dec 13: “Tips, Tricks, and Some of Our Favorite Products & Tools”

- The Beanstack App offers year-round reading challenges, including “25 in 25” (read 25 books in 2025) and “1000 Books Before Kindergarten” for ages 0–5.
- Volunteer opportunities: The Mayor’s Reading Club invites you to spend one hour a month reading to K-3rd graders.
- Free online learning through Universal Class for adult learners, homeschoolers, and college students—access with your library card.
- Study rooms are available at both library locations—reserve online, by phone, or in person.
- The Friends of the Casa Grande Public Library are accepting book & material donations (please call ahead for large items).
