CPR Classes

The Casa Grande Fire Department is now offering the Hands-on Training of the American Heart Association’s Heartsaver and BLS courses to businesses and organizations once a month.  All classes will be held at the Public Safety Facility, 377 E Val Vista Blvd, and will be limited to 6 students per class. The fee for the class is $25.00 per student. To sign up your business/organization employees for the training, please fill out and email the CPR Sign-up sheet. Your business/organization will be invoiced for the class.  For individuals who wish to register for a class, please fill out and email the CPR Class Registration Form. Payment is required on the day of the class.  Registration for all the classes will close 3 days prior to the class.

About HeartCode ® BLS

No full classroom-based courses are being offered at this time due to Covid-19. All Classes are offered as Blended courses- online coursework completed at home and skills sessions held at the fire administration office.

Who Should Take This Course?

The AHA’s Heartcode BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals such as CNAs, EMTs, CEP’s, RN’s, MDs, and students pursuing a career in the medical health field.

How Does This Course Work?

Course Instructions

The BLS course is offered as a blended course.

Step 1 – Sign up for the online course through the American Heart Association.  This course costs $32.50 paid to the AHA (American Heart Association.)  At the end of the course, you will be asked to do a quick survey, and then you will receive a certificate of completion (This is not your CPR card). You will need to provide a copy of that certificate to the instructor for the second part of the course. You must have completed the online course before you do the Hands-On Skills Course.

Step 2 – Sign up for the Hands-On Skills Course.  The Casa Grande Fire Dept. (CGFD) offers the Hands-On Skills Course once a month on the first Wednesday of the month from 1 to 2:30 pm. The cost is $25.00 paid to CGFD.  It takes up to 2 hours to complete this part of the course. Once you complete this part, you will receive your CPR card by email. If you would like to sign up and be added to the roster, please email the instructor your full name, address, phone number, and a copy of the Certification of Completion no later than the Friday before the Wednesday class.
