How Does This Course Work?

Course Instructions

The BLS course is offered as a blended course.

Step 1 – Sign up for the online course through the American Heart Association.  This course costs $32.50, paid to the AHA (American Heart Association.)  At the end of the course, you will be asked to do a quick survey, and then you will receive a certificate of completion (This is not your CPR card). You will need to provide a copy of that certificate to the instructor for the second part of the course. You must have completed the online course before you do the Hands-On Skills Course.

Step 2 – Sign up for the Hands-On Skills Course by completing the Registration Form (PDF) and submitting both the Registration Form and Certificate of Completion to cpr@casagrandeaz.gov. The Hands-On Skills Course is once a month on the first Wednesday of the month from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Registration is due one week prior to the class. The cost is $25.00, paid to EMS Trust Fund.  (Check and Money Orders OnIy.) It takes up to 2 hours to complete this part of the course. Once you complete this part, you will receive your CPR card by email.

Classes may be canceled due to low student registration and/or instructor availability.
