Bring protective sun protection, gloves, garbage pickers, and water!

Project Details 

Join us to pay tribute to the victims and heroes of 9/11 by volunteering in our community. The 9/11 National Day of Service in Casa Grande will focus on several projects around Casa Grande Mountain. Volunteers are needed to assist with mountain trail maintenance, cleanup, and beautification projects. In addition, the local High School football teams will paint the CG Logo on CG Mountain. 

Those wishing to participate in the effort will meet at 7:00 a.m. at the Elzy Pearson Shooting Range (2766 South Isom Rd.), where Mayor Craig McFarland and other community leaders will provide a brief opening presentation and instructions on which areas need the most attention. Trash bags and gloves will be offered to participants on a first-come, first-served basis; however, participants are also welcome to bring their own. 

Please arrive by 6:45 am and bring sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc.), closed-toe shoes, gloves, and pickers. 

After the event, a lunch (hot dogs, chips, drink) will be available for volunteers at the Elzy Pearson Shooting Range. Limited Parking is available; please carpool if possible.
