A few spots are still available to help create plarn mats at the National Day of Service event! Turn plastic bags into plastic yarn (plarn) that will later be woven into mats for the unhoused in Casa Grande.

The Salvation Army Casa Grande Corps is honoring 9/11 through service by hosting a Community Donation Drive to support individuals and families in need. They are collecting essential toiletry items such as travel-size toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, hair combs/brushes, socks, towels, backpacks, pet food, and more, along with gently used clothing.

At the same time, the Elks Lodge will be hosting a Food Drive, collecting non-perishable food items to help fight hunger in the community. Donations can be dropped off at their booth by the basketball court.

  • Drop-off Station: Basketball Court at Carr McNatt Park
  • Date & Time: Saturday, September 20, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Whether or not you take part in the scheduled activities, you can still participate by donating items. Giving is another powerful way to serve and show support. Every contribution helps provide dignity, comfort, and care to members of our community. Join us in remembering through service and making a difference.
