What is Contributing Property?
Not every historic home is a "contributing property" — and that's okay!
A contributing property adds to the historic character of the district by:
- Being built during the district’s period of significance (roughly 1920s–1950s)
- Maintaining its original design, materials, and appearance
- Helping tell the story of Evergreen’s unique past
Homes that have been heavily remodeled or altered may be classified as non-contributing, but both are important to the overall fabric of the district.
Living here means you're part of something bigger — a vibrant chapter of Casa Grande’s history!
