Life Cycle of a Public Works Project
The City of Casa Grande's Public Works Projects follow a structured process to ensure that community needs are met effectively. Projects begin with identifying priorities and funding through the City’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Once approved by City Council, projects move forward using one of several delivery methods, such as Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), Design-Bid-Build, or Design-Build.
Each method includes steps for selecting qualified contractors and design teams, coordinating with stakeholders, reviewing plans, and overseeing construction. Projects are completed with inspections, final reports, and “as-built” documentation to ensure quality and accountability.
This process helps the City deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective infrastructure for the community.
