The City of Casa Grande is accepting applications for the 2024 Leadership Academy, a nine-week program designed to educate residents on how their local government works. Each week, participants learn about a new facet of the city through presentations and tours hosted by department directors and elected officials. Since 2003, this free training opportunity has provided residents with a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to keep Casa Grande running strong.
The Academy is typically held annually and available to Casa Grande residents, 18 years and older. Sessions run every Wednesday, starting February 7th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., ending with a graduation. The State of the City has been added as an optional session on March 6th.
Space is limited to 20 applicants. Those accepted into the program are expected to attend at least eight of the nine sessions and will be notified by email before sessions begin. Contact the Public Information Office with questions at (520) 421-8600.
