Casa Grande 2030: A Growing Horizon

Your guide to the city’s future — shaped by community, grounded in sustainability, and driven by smart growth.

Welcome to the 2023 General Plan

Every 10 years, cities and towns are required by state law to help guide growth and coordinate development to protect and preserve resources. The General Plan serves as the community vision with associated goals and strategies that inform updates of policies and plans.

Executive Overview

We’re building a future that works for everyone. Here’s what’s new in the 2030 update:

  • Strategic use of water to support growth
  • A dynamic Downtown land use category for housing + business
  • Expanded Community Corridors for mixed-use vitality
  • More opportunities for medium-density neighborhoods
  • Strong support for infill development over urban sprawl
