Join Casa Grande Fire Department’s Cadet Program
As Casa Grande continues to grow at a rapid pace, so does our commitment to fostering the next generation of firefighting professionals. The Casa Grande Fire Department is proud to introduce its first-ever Fire Cadet Program—an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about pursuing a career in fire service.
This program is designed to immerse participants in the fire service culture while providing hands-on training, team-building experiences, and leadership development. The program is structured into two levels to accommodate varying levels of experience and readiness:
Cadet I
For individuals with little to no firefighting experience, Cadet I offers the perfect starting point. Participants will focus on:
- Building foundational firefighting knowledge.
- Developing physical abilities essential for the job.
- Gaining an understanding of fire service principles.
Cadet II
For those with a solid understanding of firefighting and physical readiness, Cadet II focuses on advanced preparation. Participants will:
- Refine firefighting and EMS skills.
- Gain familiarity with working in firefighting turnouts.
- Hone their abilities to be academy-ready.
Hands-On Training for Both Levels
All cadets, regardless of their group, will receive academy-standard training in:
- Firefighting Skills: Forcible entry, search and rescue, and hoseline management.
- EMS Skills: Emergency medical procedures and patient care.
- Operational Skills: Radio communications and teamwork in dynamic scenarios.
This program is designed to meet cadets at their current skill level and help them grow into confident, capable professionals ready to serve their communities.
Why Join the Cadet Program?
- Gain real-world experience in fire and EMS operations.
- Build leadership and teamwork skills in a supportive environment.
- Prepare for a rewarding career in public safety.
Take the first step toward an exciting future with the Casa Grande Fire Department. The Fire Cadet Program is more than training—it’s an opportunity to become part of a proud tradition of service and excellence.
